The Virtus Athlete program empowers young athletes through mentorship, leadership, and personal development to succeed in sports and in life.
Talent matters. But what separates elite athletes goes far beyond talent.
Young athletes today are navigating more than practices, games, and workouts. They face pressure to perform, competition for playing time, setbacks and injuries, confidence struggles, social media, expectations from coaches and parents, and difficult decisions both on and off the field of play.
And too often, they’re expected to figure it all out on their own.
Virtus Athlete gives them someone in their corner who has already lived it.
Our athletes are connected with current Division I and professional athletes who understand the journey firsthand—the successes, failures, sacrifices, pressure, adversity, and decisions required to reach the next level.
Through personal 1-on-1 mentorship, live group development sessions, goal setting, consistent accountability, and practical strategies designed to develop a growth mindset, Virtus teaches young athletes how to respond to challenges, learn from failure, embrace feedback, build confidence through preparation, and view adversity as an opportunity to grow.
We help athletes develop what talent alone cannot provide:
Confidence. Resilience. Accountability. Strong habits. Growth mindset. Better decision-making. Leadership. Character.
The goal isn't simply to create better athletes.
It's to develop stronger, more confident, resilient young people who are prepared for whatever comes next—in sports and in life.
LEADERSHIP. COMMUNITY. EXCELLENCE.
How It Works
Open to athletes engaged in all sports ages 12-19.
Choose Your Mentor
Each month, members can schedule a 30-minute one-on-one session with any D1 or professional athlete in our mentor network. Simply log in to the scheduling page, view each mentor’s availability, and select the mentor and time that work best for you. Stay with the same mentor to build a lasting relationship or choose someone new each month based on your goals and needs.
Group Sessions
Every two weeks, members participate in a live group session focused on one of the five Virtus Athlete development pillars. Each session is led by multiple mentors and monthly will feature special guests—including college coaches, professional athletes, agents, or scouts—followed by a live Q&A. Athletes leave every session with practical lessons and strategies they can apply immediately to their sport and personal development. If you can’t attend live, every session is recorded and a link will be provided so you can watch it anytime.

Getting Started
Foundation of The Virtus Athlete
Long before Virtus Athlete became an idea, its core principles were instilled in the founding mentors through years of training and mentorship at Kaifas Athlete Development. Under Glenn Kaifas’ guidance, it was evident from the start that development goes far beyond athletic ability - it requires discipline, accountability, consistency, resilience, and a growth mindset. Lessons in real time with real experiences that not only shaped athletes, but people. The foundation for Virtus Athlete is with the guidance and mentorship of Glenn and Kaifas Athlete Development, helping pass those same values onto the next generation of young athletes.
